In such a fast-paced and unjust society as today's, individuals increasingly find less space to develop unconditional kindness and generosity. Most people generally have the good intention to help others, but not always the will, knowledge, or time to effectively take the initiative.

When it comes to lending a hand, it is often easier and more comfortable to do so for someone close to us, such as family, friends, or coworkers. However, with those who are less close to our affections, we wait for an opportunity to present itself, and often when conditions for helping are optimal.

In other cases, we find out too late that someone needed help with something we could have helped with.

Therefore, there are many factors that prevent us from consistently turning our good intentions into altruistic actions. Some of the reasons may be related to lack of information, lack of creativity when thinking about how to help, fears, prejudices, lack of resources or time.

At Porty, we believe that helping others doesn't require moving mountains or donating large sums of money. You can make a difference by giving a simple tip or sending a small but meaningful gift that has the potential to change lives.
